Practical Project Management for Digital Learning

Learn about project phases, routines, and effective processes for successful project management and collaboration in digital educational development.

By the end of the course, you will have created your own project plan for an educational project.

Your project plan will include, among other things:

  • Background, purpose, and SMART goals
  • Scope and boundaries
  • Any requirements
  • Communication and collaboration plan
  • Project roles and responsibilities
  • Current situation analysis
  • Resource plan
  • Time schedule with decision points
  • Budget
  • Risk analysis
  • Change management, quality assurance, and follow-up plan.

Target audience

Individuals involved in the development and/or production of digital learning.

The course is conducted in Swedish, but if there is interest (and at least 5 participants or a tailored setup for a specific organization), we can conduct the course in English.

Communication

After registration, you will receive an email with information. All other communication will take place through the course platform.

Platform and technical requirements

Microsoft Teams – you will need a computer with a reliable internet connection, webcam, microphone, and speakers or a headset.

Course materials

Process descriptions, templates, best practice examples from the industry, articles, videos, recorded lectures, etc. Some of the materials are in English.

Self-study and practice assignments

Can be tailored to cases/topics directly from your organization, as well as forums for discussions with both classmates and instructors.

Duration

Approximately 27 hours in total spread over 6 weeks. This includes teacher-led seminars and self-study time.

6 teacher-led seminars, each lasting 2.5 hours. Self-study and practice assignments that you can adapt to your organization. Forums for discussions with classmates and instructors.

Methods and presentations

Collaborative learning, blended learning, and flipped classrooms. Oral presentation of self-study assignments, group exercises, and discussions. Peer feedback on the course's main assignment in the final session.
